Samantha Hoffman completed her undergraduate nursing training at Stevenson University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked for five years in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit at University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC). At UMMC she had the opportunity to work in a busy, urban teaching hospital and treat children of all ages with both acute and chronic illnesses.
While working as a Pediatric Nurse, Ms. Sam completed her graduate training at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. During this training she had the opportunity to complete clinical rotations in the newborn nursery at Mercy Medical Center, the Gastro-intestinal Clinic at UMMC, the Weight Loss and Feeding Clinic at Mt. Washington Children's Hospital, and numerous pediatric primary care sites, including Bay Area Pediatrics!
Ms. Sam graduated from the University of Maryland with her Master of Science degree in May 2016 and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) in June of 2016. She is excited to start her career as a CPNP and is sincerely looking forward to meeting and caring for the patients and families at Bay Area Pediatrics!
Ms. Sam currently resides on Kent Island with her husband, son and puppy. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, dancing, baking and reading.
