D. James Kalliongis
MD
Dr. Kalliongis completed his pediatric residency at North Shore University Hospital after interning at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. He has been board certified in Pediatrics since 1989 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has had additional training in Allergy and Immunology at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
“Dr. K”, as his patients call him, has been practicing Pediatrics since 1989. He was a teaching attending at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland and was the Chief of Pediatrics at Anne Arundel Medical Center for two years. He is active in many community educational activities and frequently speaks at parent meetings on a variety of topics in general pediatrics. Dr. Kalliongis has also mentored nurse practitioners and physician assistants during their pediatric rotations.
When not in the office, Dr. K enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife. Physical fitness, reading and cooking traditional Greek dishes are also a large part of his leisure activities.
